After a career as a model in the adult entertainment industry, Canadian Indian Leone moved to India as a participant in the popular reality show, Bigg Boss 6. While she did not win the Bigg Boss competition, celebrated Bollywood director and producer Mahesh Bhatt visited her in the Bigg Boss house and offered her a role in his forthcoming film.
Leone's Bollywood debut in Jism 2 wasn't spectacular, but she became a household name in India. However, conservative India hasn't forgotten her past as a porn star, and her fame meets with skepticism.

Despite her limited success in Bollywood, Leone has managed to beat top stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif to become India's most searched celebrity, thanks to her promiscuous past and her Bigg Boss participation. She also became the "most searched term" on the internet, as per search engine provider Google.

Interestingly, despite many Indian states having gone through state elections in 2013, and news coverage of the upcoming general elections, no politician features in the Top 10 Most Searched People list in India. It seems Bollywood and cricket is more important than politics and current affairs for Indians online.
